As part of a fun little photo adventure, we had the rare opportunity to photograph a unicyclist in traditional apparel. At first we called it a giant unicycle, but learned that the proper term was “penny-farthing,” an antique bicycle with a large front wheel and a small rear wheel where the rider sits high above the front wheel. The handle bars also sit lower than other types of bicycles in our modern era.
We captured a few various photos of the “Penny-Farthing Enthusiast,” about our portrait where we captured the rider through the spokes of the wheel won a contest on the day of the event we attended.
